Description

The 3100’s handle is slimmer and lighter than previous Sonicare models with similar features and price point. Comfortable to hold thanks to the slim rounded profile Durable and quality feeling in the hand Too much pressure can cause wear on the teeth and gums and in the long term result in irreversible damage. The 3100’s built-in pressure sensor can help you if you know you brush too hard.

For example, you also have to consider your technique – how you brush with an electric toothbrush. Both types of toothbrush need a different technique to manual toothbrushes. The Sonicare electric toothbrush with advanced sonic technology is clinically proven to remove plaque up to 3X better* than a manual toothbrush. It removes plaque from your teeth and along the gum line, without being harsh and whilst protecting your gums. Key specs – Cleaning modes: 3; Battery type: Li-ion; Accessories included: 2 x brush heads, charging travel case, charger; Battery life (tested): 1hr 33mins; Warranty: 2yrs I have no complaints about the cleaning results achievable with this brush. They are more than satisfactory. Brush heads are interchangeable – choose the style your prefer Sonicare brushes are comparable in performance and features, but Oral-B models like the Pro 3 3500 tend to be more affordable while still offering the key brushing capabilities that impact dental health.

Evidence shows Oral-B to remove more plaque. Although in reality this may not be as important as it seems. But, the 4000 Series motor has been tuned so that the ‘amplitude’ (the distance covered or the sweep angle of the bristles) is higher. It’s basic, with just one setting, but you do get a timer, with the brush pulsing every 30 seconds and switching itself off after two minutes. We also like the unusual pink, blue and yellow colour options available. The One doesn’t have the brushing power of a larger Sonicare brush, but it’s ahead of other battery-powered electric toothbrushes, and does a great job of leaving your teeth feeling clean and looking shiny. The relatively gentle movement is also brilliant for massaging along the gumline. is the very fair retail price for the 3100 Series. This is one of the few brushes I would pay retail for. Hopefully the various sections of this post have helped you to understand the differences between Oral-B and Sonicare.

Pharmacy product

This is very cutting edge and does work. However, Sonicare toothbrushes offer a similar thing, with less prominent marketing and actually, in my opinion, is implemented better from a user perspective. If you invest in the Sonicare ExpertClean, DiamondClean or Prestige series you get provided with an excellent quality travel case that allows the brush to be charged in the case. Just connect the cable to a USB port. As standard, both brands come with a two year warranty, but UK residents can extend the warranty on most Oral-B brushes by an extra year if you register it online. Use any of these brushes twice a day, for 2 minutes each time, along with the correct brushing technique and you are going to get very good cleaning results.
